About Us.
Welcome to the Okanogan Valley Orchestra & Chorus (OVOC), where the power of music has been uniting our community since 1984. Nestled in the heart of the Okanogan Valley in Washington State, we are a vibrant collective of performers dedicated to enriching our region through the performing arts. Our community orchestra and chorus (OVOC) rehearse from September through March, culminating in three seasonal concerts: Fall, Winter, and Spring.
In addition to our main performances, we proudly present our annual Spring musical, a captivating production that showcases the diverse talents of our local artists and performers. From Broadway-caliber shows to intimate readers theater, our productions foster the growth of producers, directors, stage crew, and more, providing a creative space for all aspects of theater.
We also take great pride in our annual Variety Show, a celebration of local talent in all its forms. This event encourages courage and creativity, offering performers a platform to express themselves through acts ranging from tap dance to magic. A highlight of the Variety Show is the joy of witnessing talents of all kinds come together in a shared celebration of creativity and community spirit.
Our intimate ensemble experiences include the Okanogan Valley Big Band (OVBB), a dynamic group specializing in jazz and big band classics, and Brassworks, a versatile brass ensemble performing a wide range of musical styles from Dixie to Sousa, pop songs to classics. We also support our youth musicians through The OK Band, encouraging growth through participation in local musical productions, pep bands, marching bands, and more.

Chorus

Brassworks

Big Band (OVBB)

The OVBB, our dynamic big band, brings the exuberance of the swing era to life with energetic performances and smooth, rhythmic grooves. Their expansive repertoire includes everything from classic swing standards to modern jazz arrangements. The OK Band

The OK Band focuses on nurturing young talent by supporting local pep and marching bands through outreach and mentorship. They provide invaluable experience and opportunities for young musicians to develop their skills and passion.
